The summer internship at MICC gave me my first real-world experience in the financial sector.
During my time as an intern, I was responsible for conducting research on the MSE Top 20 companies, writing parts of equity research reports and business plans, and assisting with other necessary tasks. Through market research, I gained broad knowledge across various industries including finance, dairy, agriculture, and mining.
Contrary to my expectations, MICC entrusted me with responsibilities from day one, allowing me to work independently while providing consistent guidance and feedback. I was also introduced to a positive work environment with a friendly and welcoming team. The Friday seminars and discussions on personal and professional development were a highlight of my internship—guest speakers and team members inspired and motivated me greatly.
Overall, this internship was an incredible opportunity that pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me gain a clearer vision of my future career path.

My days as an intern at MICC were both challenging and rewarding—an engaging and meaningful experience overall.
During the internship, I was assigned various tasks and responsibilities such as summarizing weekly market highlights, conducting equity analysis, performing market research, assisting senior staff, and carrying out independent research.
Although the workload was moderate, the guidance and advice provided by the supervisors made the experience significantly more productive and valuable. Beyond the tasks themselves, I would especially highlight the friendly and warm atmosphere at MICC. Weekly open discussions and company dinners created excellent opportunities to communicate and connect with colleagues.
Overall, I am truly grateful for the time I spent at MICC.

My experience participating in MICC’s summer internship program was incredibly beneficial and valuable. MICC fosters a work environment that supports leadership, teamwork, and unity—qualities that had a significant impact on my personal development and learning journey. Through tasks such as preparing brokerage documents, conducting market research, assisting in equity research reports, and creating presentations, I gained a comprehensive understanding of Mongolia’s financial sector and investment banking landscape.
I also had ample opportunities to meet and interact with industry professionals, which greatly helped enhance my communication skills. One of the highlights of the internship was attending training seminars, listening to guest speakers, and participating in games and team-building activities with colleagues—these moments fostered a sense of harmony and mutual trust in the workplace.
However, what truly made my experience unforgettable was the MICC team. From preparing coffee for me every morning to being supportive and approachable whenever I encountered challenges, they made a lasting impression. During my time at MICC, I gained diverse and valuable knowledge and experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend this internship to anyone interested.

For me, the internship I completed at MICC during the summer of 2019 was a truly valuable experience. From the very first day, I was entrusted with meaningful responsibilities and had the opportunity to work alongside senior bankers on a variety of exciting projects. My daily tasks included conducting company and industry research, preparing financial analyses, and participating in client meetings. Through these experiences, I gained a solid understanding of Mongolia’s business environment and how the investment banking sector operates.
Beyond the professional work environment, MICC fostered a warm and friendly team atmosphere. Throughout the summer, I had the chance to take part in various events such as company dinners, football matches, and countryside trips. Overall, this internship played a significant role in helping me develop my professional skills and acquire new knowledge. It’s an experience I would highly recommend to anyone interested in investment banking.

Compared to many other companies where I’ve interned before, what stood out at MICC was the trust they placed in me and the opportunity to carry out tasks independently. I was given real responsibilities and full ownership of my work. Some of the key tasks I completed included preparing equity research reports, writing industry analysis reports, and supporting senior staff on ongoing projects.
Although I handled most of these tasks on my own, there was always strong guidance and oversight. For example, I had weekly meetings with my supervisor to present the progress of my research and discuss areas for improvement, which was incredibly helpful and supportive.
Alongside MICC’s professional work environment, the team culture was also very warm and friendly. Weekly book discussions and learning sessions helped build stronger bonds among colleagues and fostered a collaborative and open atmosphere.
